Non-Surgical Lip enhancement in both genders

Lip augmentation procedures with hyaluronic acid dermal fillers [aka the Nonsurgical Lip Lift -NLL) have become increasingly popular worldwide because full lips are often considered beautiful and youthful.

Lip filler procedure whether for augmentation or contouring requires an artistic acumen with excellent technical skills & intensive knowledge of the 3D anatomy of the facial structures (maxfacial bony structures, muscles & soft tissues), relationship to dentition, supportive tissues of perioral area/lower face, ability to spot the individual variations and effect of ageing or neurological conditions.

Non-Surgical Lip lift (NSLL) not only aims to create beautiful, natural look of the lips but more importantly is to correct any asymmetry, overbite or to reverse signs of aging that sometimes may affect the pronunciation!

Lip enhancement and all various perioral area rejuvenation procedures are performed by Dr. Nadia uses holistic approach with various techniques to restore the ideal facial shape aiming at beautification of lips & restoring the symmetry & balance of the surrounding supportive tissues that were faulted by various factors.

-achieving natural look of the lip that is harmonious with the whole facial outline & features, for both genders

-alleviate the signs of aging of lips e.g size’ shrinkage & inwards inversion due to loss of their own intrinsic support.

Lip HA Filler Augmentation; Prior Counselling & Assessment

Prior counselling & assessment is mandatory to consider the reasonable individual’s preferences, knowing that people do vary with age, culture and aspirations & body image perception.

Very youthful looking lips can also look odd on a mature patient. Therefore, it is important to match the lips to the rest of the face and ensure they do not look out of place. The ideal ratio of the upper lip relative to the lower lip is often said to be 1:1.618 (golden ratio), but the largest survey of its kind shows a preference for a 1:1 ratio

where there is a suspicion of Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), then counselling & assessment are carried out understandably to explain why the procedure would not be carried out according to the client’s demands with follow-up and referral, as necessary. Patients with BDD should never have aesthetic procedures as there is invariably dissatisfaction with outcome and a deterioration of mental state.

It is also important to examine the immediate structures such as the dentition and position of the mandible in relation to the maxilla. Conditions such as an overbite or prognathism will have bearing on the appearance of the lips and should ideally be addressed first.

Dr. Nadia Yousri also applies the “The P’s and S’s of lip assessment Guide” [devised by Dr. S. Harris©] & taking “before” photos to share with the client the decision of the treatment plan & purpose.
