Botulinum A

Botulinum toxin type A

Botulinum toxin type A (Neurotoxin) is a protein made from Botulinum toxin that is used to disrupt the nerve signals that stimulate muscle contraction allowing the muscles to become relaxeddrug that weakens or relaxes muscles, when used correctly and

in small doses it can reduce facial wrinkles (wrinkles' relaxing injection). However, it real value was  proved useful in dealing with certain conditions of overactive muscles in other body's areas like; Bladder Wall Muscle Overactivity (DOA)- Detrusor Overactivity/hyperreflexia- causing Urgency Urinary Incontinence (urine leakage) or in excessive sweating (hyperhiderosis) problem or in dealing with intractable Migraine Headache (head & shoulder muscles) or the jaw muscle clinching (Bruxism) or when there are muscles' spasms (stiffness) of the feminine intimate area (Vaginismus) in Women or for Erectile Dysfunctions in Men (as evidenced by recent scientific studies). These procedures come under Non Surgical solutions of Aesthetic Regenerative Sexual Medicine &  Aesthetic Gynaecology. Hence they are Medical procedures for the purpose of adressing a medical condition & only done by trained Specialist Consultants in Sexual Wellness & should NOT be at all labelled as Aesthetics

Anti Wrinkle Treatment

    As we age, our skin produces less of the proteins collagen and elastin;

this makes our skin thinner and less resistant to damage. Environmental

exposure, dehydration and excessive muscles contraction cause the formation of wrinkles, on most prominent sun-exposed skin, such as the face, neck, hands and forearms.

    Common facial areas to relax the stiff muscles include:

Frown lines (the forehead Lines), also called glabellar lines or “elevens”

Wrinkles around the eyes (known as crow's feet), or at the corners of the mouth (marionette lines) or the Cobblestone skin appearance on the chin.

  A very beneficial use of the Neurotoxin is to relieve Buxisism (teeth grinding) this causes persistent headache, affecting the teeth health besides making the the muscle at the corner of he jaw appear prominent causing square jaw contour that is not a feminine character of the face. Also Neurotoxin help to lift the redundancy in neck bands (Platysma musles) what is famously called Nefertiti's neck lift, Botulinum A is useful to relax the bunny lines, gummy smile and to lift up the tip of the nose and reduce nose flare.

Neurotoxin

Stress Urinary incontinence (urine leak on coughing or laughing) is common problem expecially after childbirth & at menopause. It can impair the lady's social, physical or mental life. Urge incontinence is defined as the involuntary & uncontrollable loss of urine caused by the bladder muscle non rhythmic contraction (Neurogenic Bladder). One of Non Surgical options in Aesthetic Regenerative Gynaecology is injection of "Botulinum A" Neurotoxin directly into the bladder wall (via cystoscopy) to help the bladder (detrusor muscle) to relax, thus alleviating the  leakage symptom. This is solely performed by OB&GY Surgeon& Aesthetic Gynaecology Consultant: Dr. Nadia Yousri

Neurotoxin for Excessive

Sweating

   Some people sweat much more than normal (Hyperhidrosis), the most common areas are the scalp, underarms, hand, feet and groin area. Excessive sweating can be embarrassing and socially isolating and many people find the condition quite upsetting. Botulinum A toxin  is injected to block the nerve signals responsible for releasing the chemical transmitter releasing the activity of sweating. Small doses are injected into the skin blocking nerve supply to the apocrine sweat glands and preventing the
glands from producing sweat. This doesn’t cure hyperhidrosis but provides temporary relief
and needs to be repeated every five to six months for maximum effect. This is because,
 as the nerve ends' receptors regenerate overtime, (synaptic-sprouting and receptor formation) leading to the re-occurrence of chemical transmitter release and hence the ‘wearing off effect’ of Botulinum A toxin.
